The dogs haven't broken their teeth on it, but as other people state, the plastic does fray, and so your dog may ingest some of the little white bits. However, as another review stated, the ingestion of a few white bits is harmless in the long run, your dog will either spit them up, or pass them, and you shouldn't be letting your dog chew on these 24/7 anyways.
